Peter's Projection

fidelity of latitude, fidelity of longitude

I forgot to mention this. Stevie K informed me that a Projection song was on a popular podcast called Coverville. Which song did they use?

WHY DOES THE SUN SHINE?

Possibly the best one ever. Recorded for eBagel on her birthday. Done in less than 3 hours. A cover of a cover. Hurray.

Coverville has won a bunch of awards. I'm gonna give the other stuff on there a listen.

Neat-o.

Thanks, K!

On the occasion of girlfriend Erin's birthday, I've recorded a song for her. Our Song. Sounds lame, eh? WRONG.

Peter's Projection presents:

"Why Does the Sun Shine?"

(after They Might Be Giants, after Tom Glazer)

everything by Peter Hassett
except the actual song
for Erin Surrock

Please enjoy and share. You can hear more songs by checking other entries with the "Projection" tag.

New Peter's Projection song. Listen and share.

"Crown Vic"

by Peter Hassett

A Projection song can take no longer than 5 hours from concept to completion (this one took 3) and must address a known musical pastiche. Listen to other Peter's Projection songs here.

(OBVIOUS NOTE: A Crown Victoria is a cop car.)

I Will Make You a Beautiful Bride

It's time for another installment of Peter's Projection. Peter's Projection, or the Projection for short, is Peter's de facto solo project. As a rule, each song must take no longer than 5 hours from conception to completion. Tonight's episode is just as weird as the others. I'm still trying new stuff, flexing new muscles. Enjoy and share with a friend over a cold bottle of Zima.

My dear friend Marisa, you know-- the handjob girl, is making a student film at JMU. So I made a song for her.

It's called "Saturday". I wrote, performed, recorded, and mixed it in the last 4 hours here. Kind of a rush job, kind of an experiment in productivity. Hope you enjoy it.
