Great list. I'm astonished that OLDBOY didn't make the cut. And it's terrific to see someone with the same love for SPEED as I have-- funny and terrifying, and a great visual sense (de Bont was a DP on fims like DIE HARD before taking the director's seat).

Tarantino is just the coolest. I feel like he and I could be buddies, chatting about John Wayne's mythopoesis, how to do a good carotid blood spray, and frozen daquiri recipes with equal vigor. Maybe we could hang out with Piebald together.
